OAIA 2010 Annual General Meeting and Conference:

The 2010 conference will take on the questions swirling around the future of the Canadian Environmental Assessment Act and its practice. We have set aside two days filled with speakers from across the Region to inform us about the CEAA and next steps.

Student poster challenge at OAIA 2010

The OAIA will support the presentation of the top student posters at its next conference at the University of Ottawa on October 14 and 15, 2010.

• This competition is open to students at a recognized university or community college who are still studying or graduated in 2010
• Posters must cover a topic related to environmental impact assessment or strategic environmental assessment (e.g., how to scope assessments, how to do cumulative impact or socio-economic impact assessments, how to involve the public, how to collect information, coordination among governments, the availability and quality of information to conduct assessments, case studies, tools, processes, challenges)
•  Posters must be submitted electronically to fbregha@stratos-sts.com by September 1, 2010. OAIA will notify submitters whether their poster has been accepted by September 24, 2010
•  An OAIA panel will judge posters for the:
  • quality of their analysis
  • writing
  •  originality
  •  quality of presentation

•  Each student whose poster is accepted for presentation will receive $100. The top poster will also be featured on the OAIA website for a year.
•  Fees to attend the Conference are $95 for the two days or $50 for one day.
•  OAIA will post the Conference agenda at the end of the summer.

Gratuit en ligne avec tutorat et jusqu'à 25 crédits universitaires en formation continue de l'université Laval (Québec, Canada), avec l'appui des commandites de Santé Canada et de l'OMS pour les 240 premiers inscrits. Aussi gratuit de façon permanente, mais sans tutorat et sans crédits.
