Sandra Guido, B.A. (Environmental Science & Resource Management)

Sandra Guido is a Senior Program Support Coordinator with the Environmental Assessment and Approvals Branch at the Ministry of the Environment with 9 years of experience in the field of EA. Sandra joined the Ministry in 2000, shortly after graduating from the University of Toronto with an Honours BA in Environmental Science and Resource Management.

Sandra has been involved in the review of many environmental assessment projects including municipal infrastructure, forest management, energy generation and transmission, and provincial highways; ensuring the assessment of potential environmental impacts were evaluated properly and done in accordance with ministry legislation (Ontario’s Environmental Assessment Act) and policies.

In her current capacity, Sandra works with a team at the Environmental Assessment and Approvals Branch that focuses on continuous improvement for Ontario's environmental assessment and approvals programs. Sandra has worked on a wide range of environmental policy and program initiatives at the ministry such as EA guidance materials, EA education and outreach training, the electricity regulation, and the transit projects regulation. More recently, Sandra is responsible for leading the Electricity Team, a group of EA professionals who specialize in assisting proponents of green and clean energy through Ontario's environmental assessment and approvals processes.

Sandra was a member of the conference organizing committee for the 2007 and 2008 OAIA Annual Conferences.
