CONFERENCES
OVERVIEW 2013 2012 2011 2010 2009 2008 |
Every year, usually in October, the OAIA organizes a conference and annual general meeting (AGM) that rotates each year between Ottawa and Toronto. Ontario student members of OAIA are encouraged to present research findings and, for this purpose, funding to support attendance is available. Interested students should contact the Chair of the Education and Research Liaison Committee about the process of application and approval. The AGM, which is held at the same time as the conference, addresses essential business matters such as the Reports of the Outgoing and Incoming Presidents, the receipt and acceptance of the Financial Statement, approval of the actions of the Executive during the previous year, and the election of Directors. 2013 | Impact Assessment: Strong Science, Wise Decisions, Healthy Ecosystems October 23 and 24, 2013 | Ontario Science Centre, Toronto 2012 | Major Resource Development in a Changing EA Landscape October 23 and 24, 2012 | Carlton University, Ottawa 2011 | Making The Most of Ontario’s Environmental Assessment Process October 26 and 27, 2011 | Ontario Science Centre, Toronto 2010 | Refocusing Federal Environmental Assessment Policy October 14 and 15, 2010 | Tabaret Hall, University of Ottawa, Ottawa 2009 | Environmental Assessment at a Crossroads October 21 and 22, 2009 | Ontario Science Centre, Toronto 2008 | Going Green: Implications for Environmental Assessment in Ontario November 19 and 20, 2008 | Carleton University, Ottawa |
