OAIA Annual
General Meeting (Thurs, May 15, 4:00-5:30 PM, Innes College Town Hall)
The Annual General Meeting of OAIA
(see agenda) will take
place on Thursday, May 15, 4:00-5:30 PM, at Innes College Town Hall,
2 Sussex St., Toronto (corner of St. George and Sussex just north of
the Robarts Library). Admission is free, and we encourage you
to take this opportunity to interact with your Board and let us know
what's on your mind.
The AGM will be followed immediately at the same location by joint
OAIA/OSEM forum entitled "EA - Back To The Future".
Parking is limited in U of T area. From St. George subway (St.
George & Bloor) walk south on St. George to Innis College.

Still Time to
Register for the joint OAIA/OSEM forum, EA - Back To The Future
We can still accommodate more people at the joint OAIA/OSEM forum
that will follow the OAIA Annual General Meeting. (See location
directions above.)
Registration and a pre-event reception get underway at Innes College
Town Hall, 2 Sussex St., Toronto at 5:30 PM Thursday, May 16 An
interesting program of speakers will commence at 6:30 PM. The event
continues on Friday, May 16 until 3:00 PM. Please consult the
program for details.
You may pay at the door, but we would appreciate it if you would
phone Sue Ruggero at 416-746-9076 or fill out the
user-friendly form on your
computer, print it and fax it to Sue at 416-743-6171 to notify her
of your intention to be present. This will help us to organize more
efficiently, and also ensure that there is an adequate supply of
such essentials as food and coffee.

Your New OAIA Board
It is with pleasure that we announce that
John Dauvergne, Senior
Advisor, Environmental Affairs Branch, Industry Canada has been
acclaimed President-Elect of OAIA.
Ray Lamoureux and
Lee Doran will serve
additional one-year terms in the executive positions of
President and Past-President.
We would like to welcome the following new Board members:

We regret that Eva Ligeti, who has served as a Board member for
these past two years, and who had offered for another term, has
informed us that she will be unable to take up her second term
of office. We would like to thank Eva for her efforts on behalf
of OAIA, and wish her every success in her various endeavours.
We are currently one Board member short of the number of Board
members indicated in our Bylaws. The Board has approved leaving
the nomination process open until such time as all positions
have been filled by acclamation. If you are interested in
serving on the Board, please contact any board member (see
Directory of Members).

that you need to allow more lead time if you wish to include
your item in the OAIA Bulletin. We will also place
advertisements, particularly those pertaining to professional
services and available employment, in the Bulletin, and will
consider special-purpose E-mailings of interest to our members
and friends. You should be aware, however, that there may be
charges associated with those latter services.
